    Everything in the ACS

    The Private Pilot ACS is the blueprint for anything and everything you'll see on your written exam, oral exam, and check ride. Examiners can't stray from the ACS, so we cover it all, line by line, with a video on each topic. This is the most thorough and logical way to prepare yourself and become a safe, confident pilot.
    Note: Currently, Private Pilot Ground only covers ACS material from Area of Operation I: Preflight Preparation and does not include in-cockpit learning like maneuvers, takeoffs, landings, slow flight, and other material in ACS Area of Operation II and beyond. Those sections will be released in Spring 2026, and everyone with access will receive the new material once live.

    What's the difference between the All-Access Pass and buying a course outright?

    Our All-Access Pass is the most cost-effective way to start your aviation journey. For just $49/month, you get access to our Private Pilot Ground course, which gives you all the foundational knowledge to become a pilot. It includes over 10 hours of video content, hundreds of practice questions, and the ability to receive a Knowledge Test endorsement signed by a certified flight instructor which you'll need before you arrive at a testing center to take your written exam.

    Our All-Access Pass also includes access to monthly webinars with live Q&A, access to all future courses and mini-courses, cheat sheets and other downloadable member-only content, and more.

    Alternatively, you may purchase lifetime access to any paid course as well. Our Private Pilot Course is $299 without a subscription.

    Is the Private Pilot curriculum aligned to the Airmen Certification Standards (ACS)?

    Yes. The Private Pilot ACS is your "cheat sheet" for the knowledge test and check ride. You will only be tested on material found in the ACS, so we cover every line item within ACS Area of Operation I: Preflight Preparation in this course.

    Do I need a flight school to use the Private Pilot course?

    This is your ground school portion only. You'll still need to complete flight training with a CFI (Part 61 or 141). If you live in Northwest Georgia, give us a call and get on the schedule with one of our highly trained CFIs.

    About Ryan

    Ryan serves as the head flight instructor at Ace Aviation, the premier flight school operating out of the same airport (KRMG) where Ryan first learned to fly at age 15.

    From his teaching experiences at Phoenix East Aviation and Embry Riddle to his time as a First Officer with Express Jet, Ryan has a vast knowledge of all things aviation.
